Fish Sauce

I HATE fish sauce
(Just putting it out there).
I HATE the smell wafting
from my neighbor’s apartment
when she cooks with fish sauce.
I HATE the taste
no matter how it’s disguised.
You told me that just because
it was made with fish sauce
it wouldn’t taste like fish sauce.
I have a fish sauce antenna
and it says YOU LIED!
There’s no way around it.
What is fish sauce?
fish or krill that have been coated in salt
and fermented for up to two years.
Fish sauce smells and tastes
like rotten fish.
I won’t eat it
and I don’t care who knows.
