Resolve

I feel the force
of the planets
tho far away
they give me direction
an incoming tide
of resolve
sometimes swamping me
leaving me footless
yet, carrying me
toward my destination

a destination
yet unknown
as tomorrow is unknown
but my heart is strong
and stalwart
there is no backing down
I am prepared
if necessary
to throw myself
on the spears
of my enemies:
prejudice
racism
and greed

    tomorrow is already here
    though another one is near
    light makes it so clear
while the shadow takes away the fear….
I enjoyed your thoughts…the first verse felt like
a whisper I heard before on the wind…
    Thank you for sharing…
