.

sweet scent
of morning.
Sunrise
burns the mist,
floating above
the lake

fishermen’s boats
ripple
the otherwise mirrored
surface of the water —
interrupt
the conversations
of the geese
paddling
in circles

Bang!…Bang!…Bang!
three shotgun blasts
in the distance —
(geese rock quietly)

nature waits…

    I agree, in nature I can find patience. It’s all around me, the birds, the trees, flowers, the animals. They go about what they’re doing; they dont rush.
