Love’s True Song

.Dark Girl Beauty Siren

always,
there has been
this longing —
(siren’s song
from far away)
pulling me
to paths untraveled
beyond the boundaries
of today

a voice
so sweet
that I must follow
through the night
on winds I ride
passions race
as heart beats thunder
love’s true song
can’t be denied

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words. I read your post “The Verbal Sword: Words Hurt”. This is a very powerful poem. I have known many women in similar circumstance. If this is your situation I pray that you will get help from a women’s shelter, or the police. What begins as verbal abuse, escalates into physical abuse. My heart goes out to you. ~ Dennis
