Thanks! The Irish do have a rich culture that I think sadly gets overshadowed by alcohol but it’s definitely there. Yes I love The Corrs! Wish they’d make more music. :)

We have all experienced a gamut of emotions, allowing us to wear another’s shoes for a while. It all comes down to listening. I know you do that so well.

You do write so beautifully, Dennis! It shows you are an artist, painter…you paint such beauty with your words. You are right about “knowing” and being open to listen….I have been doing many class interviews lately for a mental health project and many students ask where I get my expertise…aside from encouraging them to stay in school go to college or university, my real expertise comes from what I learn from the youths who phone in…they have made me a better person and counsellor…they allow me to step into their shoes for a little while.

Thank you. I enjoyed your post, “Reflections on the week it was – intimidation and bigotry abound”. I cringe when I think of the millions who have been persecuted and killed because they were part of a minority. We are all part of a minority by someone’s definition. My mother and her family were verbally abused because they were immigrants to Canada from Iceland. Let us open our hearts, to love our neighbors, inclusively. ~ Dennis
