Wishes

.

darkmoon

.

I close my eyes —

I’m in the lavender place

sweet with wood smoke and cedar.

crickets chirp, fireflies flicker,

bullfrogs bark.

.

silent moon observes,

stars and I await the wishes.

 darkness suffocates and overwhelms.

from the black, a light appears,

I know as you

  8. Aside from admiring your ability to paint a sensual scene, I love how the poem itself is shaped, almost like a full moon reflecting itself in the water

    1. I hadn’t thought of that before, but I agree. It wasn’t intentional, just a happy accident.

    1. Thanks Cynthia. I loved your post Where Is the Hope? I also “love this thought: clearing a path for justice. Yes, let us be part of that.” We are all the same, we seek happiness and an end to suffering.
