WE MUST ACT

THERE ARE MANY BILLIONS

OF PEOPLE WHO OPPOSE

VIOLENCE, BIGOTRY AND HATRED.

(I’m shouting because this is important)

OUR VOICE ISN’T BEING HEARD

OUR SILENCE, INACTION AND APATHY

CONDONES THE STATUS QUO.

.

WE MUST ACT,

IN OUR DAILY LIVES,

ACCORDING TO OUR CAPACITY.

WE CAN EACH SHOW KINDNESS

HUMILITY AND COMPASSION

TO FELLOW HUMANS.

We are all the same —

we seek happiness

and an end to

suffering.

    1. Thank you Swami for reblogging this. SMALL acts of kindness by everyone would make a BIG difference in the world. Thank you for naming me the ‘Apostle of Love’. I will aspire to live up to this title.

  5. I couldn’t agree more! Things cannot change or get better without action. I believe it was Gandhi who once said: “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.” Yep. :)

  7. *applauds* Bravo, couldn’t agree more. Something I struggle with is finding a way to make a difference. As good as my intentions may be they don’t could for much when there’s no action to back them up.

  10. AMEN brother. The best part of the Grammy’s last night was the victim of domestic violence telling her story and encouraging others to seek help.
