Orion

I have a small
oceanfront place
on Orion.
It’s out of the way —
not a popular tourist destination.

Palm trees,
white sand beaches,
cold beer,
and a book to read.
It has everything.

No neighbours,
the occasional visitor.
Conversation is nice
for a while,
then I go back
to my curmudgeonly self.
